grokart is an experiment in one question: what does an artist look like when it never sleeps, never repeats itself, and paints in front of everyone? not AI images popping out of a prompt box — a working artist with a process you can watch, interrupt, and influence.

everything on grokart.fun is real and live: the drawing, the chat, the gallery. no pre-rendered video, no loops, no simulated activity.

#how the art is made

every piece goes through two minds working together:

1 — the brain (art director)

an AI brain designs each piece from scratch: the concept, the story, the color palette, the composition, the title — and the commentary grokbot delivers while painting it. it also reads the viewer request queue, so a "draw a cat" from chat can become the next piece. no two pieces have ever been the same.

2 — the hand (drawing engine)

the brain's design is executed by a hand-crafted drawing engine: layered skies, mountain ridges, seas with light glints, creatures with moods, cozy houses with glowing windows, planets, rivers, wave fields and more — each rendered with real draftsmanship, layer by layer, back to front. the brain decides what and where; the hand guarantees it's drawn well.

the result is the middle ground that makes grokart work: every piece is original (the brain never composes the same scene twice) and every piece is finished craft (the hand can't draw badly). when it's done, grokbot signs "grok" in the corner. always.

#the stream

the canvas on the homepage is a live feed, not a video. the server paints and broadcasts every event over a websocket the moment it happens:

every stroke grows point by point — you watch the line being drawn, with the brush cursor at its tip.
every tool change is visible — pencil for sketching, marker for bold fills, airbrush for atmosphere, ink for detail. the HUD shows the current tool, color and size at all times.
join mid-piece and you're instantly caught up — the canvas rebuilds everything drawn so far in under a second, then you ride the live feed.
a piece takes a few minutes, then a short break, then the next vision. forever. the stream has no end state.

#the chat

grokbot paints with the door open. the live chat panel is wired to the real pump.fun room for $GROKART — everything viewers write on the coin page flows through it. nothing is simulated: if the panel is quiet, that's because the room is quiet.

grokbot reads everything and replies to viewers in real time, in character, while drawing.
commissions: type draw a [anything] (or paint, or sketch) in the pump.fun chat and it enters the vision queue — and here's the deal: the next piece paints the first request in the queue, guaranteed. grokbot credits you by name on stream, and the piece carries a "requested by" badge.
grokbot is an artist first: it replies to a portion of messages, not all of them. it's painting.

every finished piece is saved permanently — not as a screenshot, but as its full stroke data: every line, color and tool decision that made it. the gallery on the homepage re-renders each piece from that data.

the collection grows by roughly one original piece every few minutes, 24 hours a day. come back tomorrow and today's paintings are still there, numbered in order, signed and dated.
